G. John Wood started FS Commercial Landscape in 1976, after earning a degree in park administration and horticulture at Cal Poly Pomona. Today more than 150 uniformed, trained employees care for properties owned by some of the largest and smallest companies in the country, backed by certified arborists, certified irrigators and staff certified in pest control.
Landscape maintenance
We look after the landscapes around commercial buildings, distribution centers, corporate offices, master-planned communities and parks. Once a week is our standard schedule, with daily or monthly service when a property needs it. Each crew writes a daily report and photographs anything that needs attention, so you hear about a problem before it turns into a cost.

Irrigation
Plants, trees and lawns only look as good as the water reaching them. Our licensed irrigators repair broken main lines, leaking valves and heads, wiring and controllers, and we upgrade older systems or install new ones. Photos of every repair are sent with the estimate before any work is done.

Tree care
Regular trimming keeps trees from blowing over and keeps branches away from people, buildings, cars and trucks. We trim most trees once or twice a year, depending on the type, and plant and prune as well. Our certified arborists work from three 75 ft boom trucks with chipper trucks, so the work is quick and safe.

Design and renovation
The entry to a commercial property should say "welcome, we are professional": green, clean, colorful and free of weeds. We design new planting beds and renovate older landscapes with boulders, dry stream beds, river rock and plants chosen for California, and we can come to your property to talk it through.

Turf replacement
Replacing lawn with drought-tolerant planting and drip irrigation can cut the water a landscape uses by up to 75%. We remove the sod, design the new landscape, plant it and convert the irrigation, and we work through the water-district rebate application with you.
